This is a brief description of our 5 application
program for warm season grasses under normal conditions.
With situations such as disease, abnormally high insect
or weed infestation, the ph adjustment may require
additional treatment depending upon the unique needs of
your yard. Warm season grass consists of St. Augustine,
Centipede, Bermuda and Zoysia.
January – Early March
- Pre-emergence for grassy weeds
- Post emergence winter broadleaf weeds
Mid April – Early June
- Post emergence for grassy weeds
- Post emergence for spring and summer broadleaf
weeds
- Fertilization
Early June – Late July
- Post emergence for grassy weeds
- Post emergence for broadleaf weeds
- Fertilization
August – September
- Insect control
- Fertilization
October – November
- Pre–emergence winter broadleaf annuals
Fertilization and herbicide rates will vary based
on the type of warm season grass being serviced.
If your lawn needs special attention, our company is
trained to solve the problem and keep your lawn healthy.

Fire Ant
Eradication
Due to the continuously growing problem
of FIRE ANTS in our area, we are now offering an additional
FIRE ANT ERADICATION service. We would like to take this
opportunity to give you a brief description of this service
Our new
FIRE ANT ERADICATION service provides immediate eradication
of existing FIRE ANT mounds, not just control. We use a
patented low pressure, sub-surface, vapor-delivery device
designed for the total eradication of whole FIRE ANT
colonies. The active ingredient used is Resmethrin.
Resmethrin affects a fire ant’s central nervous system.
Within 17 seconds of exposure to the vapor containing this
insecticide, the ant can no longer sting. The ant’s
breathing mechanism is completely shut down after about one
minute, leading to death. And since Resmethrin is delivered
via vapor under low pressure, the vapor permeates all the
tunnels, escape routes, and rooms of the mound. Thus, all
the ants in the colony are trapped and killed
The active
ingredient used has the safest EPA rating for any FIRE ANT
product on the market. It will not contaminate ground water.
Furthermore, exposure to sunlight degrades the active
ingredient into harmless elements within two hours or less.
(And since its desired effects on the fire ants occur
immediately, degradation does not occur until the death of
the fire ants). In addition, the active ingredient does not
harm other animals. This service may be used on residential
and commercial lawns, school yards, athletic fields and farm
land
We
guarantee to kill the entire FIRE ANT colony of each mound
we treat. However, due to the lack of residual effect, the
migration of fire ants from other mounds – for example, from
a neighbor’s yard to yours – cannot be stopped by this
method
For the
control of fire ants up to a year with one application, we
offer an ultra-low dose granular that will provide 95%
control in about 4 – 6 weeks. Once the fire ants are gone,
they’ll stay gone for up to one year due to the residual
power to control new developing queen cells and also new
queens that enter the landscape in the months ahead. To
insure maximum results, timing is extremely important.
Applications should be applied in the fall, winter or early
spring, just prior to or during wetter weather. Fire ant
mounding activity has much to do with temperature and
moisture. During hot and dry weather, worker fire ants
burrow deep into the soil, moving their entire brood down
into the mound to search for more moisture and cooler
temperatures. In contrast, when adequate moisture is present
and temperatures are moderate, fire ants are active on the
surface and most vulnerable.
This is
excellent for control of fire ants, because it’s not only a
curative solution; it’s also a preventative one.
